Across the weekend, Will will help you explore \u003cstrong\u003enew drumming vocabulary, techniques and concepts\u003c\/strong\u003e, while showing you how to use the skills you already have in more musical and creative ways.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch2\u003eWhat to expect\u003c\/h2\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe camp is built around \u003cstrong\u003eyour playing and your goals\u003c\/strong\u003e.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eOnce you book, you'll complete a questionnaire with Will — think of it as a \u003cstrong\u003edrumming MOT\u003c\/strong\u003e! Your answers will help shape the two-day curriculum, giving the group a shared area of focus while still making sure the sessions are relevant to where you are in your own drumming journey.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWill will also create a \u003cstrong\u003ebespoke book syllabus\u003c\/strong\u003e for the camp, which every student will receive. You'll work through it together across the two days, and it'll give you plenty to take away and work on independently over the next \u003cstrong\u003e6–12 months\u003c\/strong\u003e.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWith just \u003cstrong\u003e8 spaces available\u003c\/strong\u003e in total, the camp will be a supportive, hands-on environment where you can learn alongside other drummers, share experiences, try new things and, most importantly, have a lot of fun doing it.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003eWho is it for?\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis camp is aimed at \u003cstrong\u003eintermediate drummers\u003c\/strong\u003e who have been playing for a while and are ready to push themselves further.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWe'd recommend having a good understanding of:\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cul\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eA range of drum beats and fills\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eRudiments\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003ePlaying songs\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eSolid timing\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eSome experience of playing in front of others\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003c\/ul\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eSuggested grade level: 4–6\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eDon't worry if you don't take graded exams — this is simply a guide to the kind of playing level the camp is aimed at. \u003cstrong\u003eYou don't need to have any formal drumming grades to attend.\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIf you're looking for a fun, challenging and supportive weekend that could genuinely change the way you approach the drum kit, \u003cstrong\u003ethis one is for you.\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cem\u003e\u003cstrong\u003ePlease note this camp is suitable for ages 14+.\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/em\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch2\u003eAnd because we're hosting it at Into Music...\u003c\/h2\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe Into Music team will be around throughout the weekend too.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWe're not going to try and sell you anything — but one of the perks of hosting a drum camp in a music shop is that you'll have the chance to \u003cstrong\u003etry as much gear as you like\u003c\/strong\u003e! Kits, snares, cymbals, sticks, accessories… if you fancy trying something out, go for it.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe shop will be open to the public on Saturday, but the bottom showroom where the camp is taking place will remain private for the students.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch2\u003eFood \u0026amp; refreshments\u003c\/h2\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWe'll keep you fuelled throughout the weekend with \u003cstrong\u003etea, coffee, water and snacks\u003c\/strong\u003e included.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003ePlease bring your own lunch on Saturday — there will be a 1-hour lunch break giving you enough time to head into Horncastle.
