Dark finish for a natural and earthy tone

The Byzance Dark Hi-hats feature hand-hammering all around the cymbals and are not lathed - as well as being slightly thicker in depth. This makes them distinctly darker and earthier in tone, with enhanced stick projection and raw volume. In addition to the classic Dark features, the Big Apple Hi-hats are slower to open up thanks to a thinner body, producing dark, roaring tones with quick decay. The stick definition is cutting, with pearly, metallic sounds distinct from the wash of other cymbals.

Plus, it features a powerful and cutting bell to punch through a full band mix. Because this cymbal opens so easily, it is a fantastic choice for crash-riding and big single crash accents. The Meinl Byzance 22 Big Apple Dark Tradition Light Ride encapsulates the history, tradition and sound of the legendary New York City jazz scene, hence the Big Apple name.
