The Byzance Vintage Smack Stack features three B20 bronze discs shaped to create a distinctive 'clap' or 'electronic snare sound' sound effect. The stack can be manipulated by adjusting the tension of the cymbal stand’s wing nut.  Increased tension produces a crisp attack and short decay ideal for quick accents, while loose settings yield a longer sustain.  Works well when paired with a snare drum for enhanced back beats, or as an alternative to your snare altogether. This Meinl HCS stack consists of two different 12" HCS brass cymbals that sit right on top of one another to create a much sought-after "trash" effect

The top cymbal features specially designed holes that help the cymbal sound and perform best in a stack set up

The bottom cymbal is the same size as the top and also features cut out holes, which makes for an ultra trashy effect

Keep the cymbals tight with the wing nut on your cymbal stand, or loosen them up to experiment with different sounds

These hihats are expressive through their varying profile with thin edges and a thicker, unlathed bell. Their medium thin weight in the bow allows them to be very versatile and live up to their Polyphonic name. When closed, these hihats deliver tight grooves with just the right balance of attack and air underneath. When you need power, open them up to hear the unlathed bell add a dark roar to the wash. The bell also provides the foundation for a solid chick with your foot.
