About RTOM Black Hole

RTOM developed the Black Hole to solve one of the most persistent problems in drumming — how to practise on your own acoustic kit without generating the volume that makes acoustic drumming impractical in most home environments. Electronic drum kits offer one solution, but they require a separate instrument with a different feel and setup to your acoustic kit. Rubber practice pads offer another, but they don't replicate the feel of a real drum head and can't be used on the kit itself.

The Black Hole takes a different approach: rather than replacing your kit or adding a separate practice instrument, it converts your existing acoustic kit into a near-silent practice kit by snapping a tuneable mesh head directly over each drum.
