Washy, smooth, a little bright and yet delivering a slightly dark tone, this is a cymbal that will meet the needs of any genre, be it rock, pop, fusion or even reggae.
Though of course not the main focus of any cymbal, this cymbal really looks stunning. The traditional finish paired with the Byzance logo is something special. The Meinl Byzance Traditional 16" Medium Thin Crash Cymbal is a lot more than just its looks though. The medium thin weight of this B20 cymbal paired with the 16” size delivers a warm and smooth character. Though the high mids are prominent, this cymbal is still somehow a little dark, and it is this pairing that allows this cymbal to be as adaptable as it is. The sustain is a medium length which allows it to ring out, but not so long as to muddy up your mix. The result is an incredible cymbal.
