The Evans Bass Muffling EQ Pad is a highly useful peice of gear. Attachable and adjustable via Velcro straps, you can place this inside you bass drum for a punchier and more rounded tone and remove the unwanted resonances. A hinged pad against the beater head bounces, allowing the attack to come through before returning to dampen the head. If being used on a smaller depth drum, a secondary pad on the opposite end can do the same. A visually invisible but sonically prominent tool.
