Protection Racket's Limited Edition Orange Cases Are Here!

Protection Racket's Limited Edition Orange Cases Are Here!

Drum cases are usually black. Functional, sensible, invisible in a sea of identical gear bags at the back of a venue. Nobody ever got excited about a black drum case.

Protection Racket have decided to do something about that.

Their limited edition orange collection brings the same bombproof build quality that has made Protection Racket the go-to case brand for professional drummers worldwide — in a colour that absolutely nobody is going to mistake for theirs. We stock three pieces from the range, and they're exactly as good as they look.

About Protection Racket

Before we get into the orange, it's worth understanding why Protection Racket cases are worth caring about in the first place.

Protection Racket are a British brand with a reputation built entirely on the quality of their cases. Their signature Racketex outer material is high-strength, lightweight, and waterproof — it handles the kind of punishment that touring musicians put gear through without complaint. Inside, their proprietary Propadd foam offers the ideal balance between protection and weight — dense enough to absorb impacts, light enough that you're not adding unnecessary bulk to your load-in.

These aren't fashion accessories with a drum case attached. They're serious protective cases that happen to come in a colour that makes a statement.

The Limited Edition Orange Collection

Protection Racket Limited Edition Orange Drumstick Bag — £26.99

The most accessible piece in the range and, honestly, one of the best drumstick bags on the market at any price. The Protection Racket Standard Pocket Stick Case holds up to 10 pairs of sticks safely — more than enough for any gig or session. It's made from the same waterproof Racketex material as their larger cases, lined with dense Propadd foam, and comes with a handle, detachable shoulder strap, and a visible luggage tag.

In orange, it's also the easiest stick bag in the world to find in a dark venue. If you've ever spent ten minutes hunting for your sticks in a gig bag before a soundcheck, you'll appreciate that more than you might expect.

At £26.99, it's also a brilliant gift for any drummer — practical, well-made, and genuinely distinctive.

Orange Protection Racket 14x5.5" Snare Case — £46.00

A dedicated snare case in the 14x5.5" size — the most common snare drum dimension and the right fit for the vast majority of snares in our range. The rugged Racketex exterior handles the knocks and scrapes of regular gigging, while the soft internal fleece lining protects the drum's finish from scratches. There's additional space inside for drum fixtures and fittings — useful for keeping your key, spare heads, or snare wires together with the drum.

If you've invested in a quality snare — a Ludwig Supraphonic, a British Drum Company Raven, a Mapex Black Panther — it deserves a case that protects it properly. This does that, and it does it in a colour that makes your snare case the most recognisable piece of gear in any venue.

Protection Racket 22" Deluxe Orange Cymbal Case with Rucksack Straps — £129.00

The flagship piece of the orange range, and the one that makes the biggest statement. The 22" Deluxe Cymbal Case is Protection Racket's premium cymbal bag — rugged Racketex exterior, soft internal fleece lining, Propadd foam protection, and the addition of full rucksack straps that allow you to carry your cymbals on your back, hands-free.

If you've ever tried to navigate a venue load-in carrying a cymbal bag, a stick bag, and a hardware case simultaneously, you'll know exactly why rucksack straps matter. They transform the experience of getting your gear from the car to the stage — and at 22", this case fits the vast majority of cymbal setups including rides up to 22" and full hi-hat pairs.

In orange, it's also the most visible cymbal case in any venue — which matters more than you'd think when you're trying to locate your gear in a dark backstage area or a busy festival compound.

Why Limited Edition Matters

Protection Racket produce these orange colourways in limited runs. When the stock is gone, it's gone — the standard range returns to black. If you want the orange, now is the time.

We currently have stock of all three pieces — but given how distinctive they are, we don't expect them to hang around. If you're building out your gigging setup or looking for something that stands out from the standard black gear bag crowd, this is a rare opportunity.

The Complete Orange Setup

All three pieces together — the stick bag, the snare case, and the cymbal case — give you a coordinated, immediately recognisable gigging setup that protects your gear properly and looks brilliant doing it. At a combined total of just over £200, it's also exceptional value for Protection Racket quality.

Protection Racket FAQs

Are Protection Racket cases waterproof?
Yes — the Racketex outer material used across the Protection Racket range is waterproof, making these cases suitable for outdoor festivals, wet load-ins, and any situation where your gear might be exposed to the elements.

What size snare drums fit the 14x5.5" case?
The case is designed for standard 14" diameter snare drums with a depth of 5.5". This covers the majority of popular snare drums including the Ludwig Supraphonic, Ludwig Black Beauty, Mapex Black Panther, and most Yamaha, Sonor, and British Drum Company snares in this depth.

Will the 22" cymbal case fit my full cymbal setup?
The 22" case is designed to hold cymbals up to 22" in diameter. Most standard cymbal setups — including hi-hats, crashes, and a 20"–22" ride — will fit comfortably. If you run larger cymbals (24"+), you may need a larger case.
