Originally aimed at beginners, professional drummers fell in love with the distinctive dry, sharp punch this snare produced. The 14" x 6.5" Ludwig LM405C Acrolite snare is a homage to the original and bears the same distinct sound as its ancestor. This version is made of seamless brushed aluminium for a mat finish.

The Ludwig 14'' x 6.5'' LA405K Acrophonic Snare Drum is a beautiful, limited edition snare drum from Ludwig, featuring a high-quality hammered aluminium shell that gives a universally useful tone. The Acrophonic is an incredibly sought after snare, grabbing all the attention with good reason. The Acrophonic is best described as a combination of Ludwig's Supraphonic snare series and the Acrolite snare series. The hammered aluminium shell provides a bright, resonant tone with a great balance of frequencies.

Similar to steel but with fewer overtones and much more body, the sound is incredibly universal and ideally suited to any style or genre thanks to the wide frequency range. Ludwig's Atlas Standard series hardware offers reliable stability and durability at an affordable price. Not only that, the weight of these products is reasonable too so you don't need to turn into the hulk before you can move them. This 5-part drum hardware pack consists of four stands and a bass drum pedal. The stands, for a snare drum, hi-hats and two cymbals, all have a chrome finish, as does the bass drum pedal.

Features

Ludwig's Atlas Standard series products feature a number of desirable design elements. The snare stand, for instance, has a ball-in socket mechanism so that you can adjust it to your desired angle, while the basket can be lowered to accommodate deep snare drums. The cymbal stands are equipped with gearless tilters and the arm of the boom stand can be adjusted to turn it into an upright stand when required. The bass drum pedal and the pedal on the hi-hat stand both feature the lightweight, aluminium Speedster pedal board which offers a good response.

Stable

The stands all have double-braced legs and rubber feet for ultimate stability. They are height adjustable thanks to the telescopic design and the insulated joints ensure that the metal parts don't rub against each other to prevent any undesirable noises from being produced. Finally, the Keystone wingnuts make it easy to tighten all of the parts and hold them securely in place until you want to loosen them again.
