The Gretsch Full Range Walnut Stave 14" x 6.5" Snare Drum combines the naturally warm, dark character of walnut with the power and response of a dense stave shell construction.
Unlike a conventional multi-ply shell, the Walnut Stave is constructed from individual sections of walnut to create a dense, substantial shell with thick reinforcement rings. The result is a powerful and responsive snare with plenty of body, strong low-end undertones and a shorter, more controlled sustain than its Maple Stave counterpart.
Finished in a beautiful Clear Satin lacquer, the drum is equipped with heavy-duty 3mm triple-flanged hoops, 30-degree bearing edges, 20-strand steel snare wires and Gretsch's newly designed Full Range throw-off and butt plate.
