Istanbul Agop Signature 16" Crash Cymbal – IAGC16
The Istanbul Agop Signature 16" Crash Cymbal (IAGC16) delivers a dark, warm and richly complex crash sound with an unmistakably traditional character. Handmade in Turkey, the Signature Series is renowned for its expressive response, deep tonal complexity and distinctive aged appearance.
The compact 16" diameter gives this crash a quick and responsive feel, allowing it to open easily with an immediate attack before developing into a warm, textured wash. Its smaller size makes it particularly effective for fast accents and detailed playing while still retaining the depth and complexity associated with the Istanbul Agop Signature Series.
Rather than producing the bright, glassy response of a conventional modern crash, the Signature 16" offers a darker and more organic voice. Rich overtones and a naturally expressive response allow the cymbal to blend beautifully into the music while adding plenty of character and tonal colour.
Extensive hand hammering and traditional cymbal-making techniques contribute to its individual sound and appearance. The result is a highly musical crash that responds naturally to changes in touch and dynamics.

Why Choose the Istanbul Agop Signature 16" Crash?
The Istanbul Agop Signature 16" Crash is an excellent choice for drummers looking for a smaller crash with a dark, sophisticated and highly expressive voice. Its compact diameter responds quickly, while the rich overtones and traditional construction give it considerably more depth than a conventional bright 16" crash.
It works beautifully as a responsive main crash or as a contrasting secondary cymbal alongside larger Signature models, making the IAGC16 a versatile addition to a darker, more organic cymbal setup.
As a traditionally handmade cymbal, individual Istanbul Agop Signature cymbals can vary slightly in weight, appearance and tonal character. Want to hear this exact cymbal before ordering? Contact the Into Music team and we'll be happy to provide a sound file where available.
