Istanbul Agop Special Edition 18" Crash Cymbal
The Istanbul Agop Special Edition 18" Crash Cymbal delivers a dark, warm and richly complex crash sound with the expressive character associated with traditional Turkish cymbal making. Handmade in Turkey, the Special Edition Series is designed for players who value an organic response, rich overtones and exceptional dynamic sensitivity.
The versatile 18" diameter provides an excellent balance of responsiveness, body and sustain. The cymbal opens easily with a smooth, expressive attack before developing into a warm and textured wash, giving it enough presence for accents without sounding excessively bright or aggressive.
Its traditional construction gives the Special Edition Crash a naturally complex voice. Subtle playing brings out delicate tonal detail, while stronger strokes allow the cymbal to develop into a broader, fuller crash with layers of rich overtones.
This dynamic range makes the 18" Special Edition Crash particularly well suited to jazz, fusion, acoustic, alternative and studio applications, as well as any setup where a darker and more nuanced crash sound is preferred.

Why Choose the Istanbul Agop Special Edition 18" Crash?
The Istanbul Agop Special Edition 18" Crash is an excellent choice for drummers looking for a versatile crash with a darker, more traditional voice. Its 18" diameter offers enough body for a full crash sound while remaining responsive enough for subtle and dynamic playing.
Rather than producing an overly bright or one-dimensional attack, the Special Edition Crash delivers warmth, texture and tonal complexity, making it particularly appealing to players looking for a cymbal that blends naturally into the music.
As a traditionally handmade cymbal, individual Istanbul Agop cymbals can vary slightly in weight, appearance and tonal character. Want to hear this exact cymbal before ordering? Contact the Into Music team and we'll be happy to provide a sound file where available.
