Istanbul Agop 19″ Sultan Crash Cymbal

Istanbul Agop Sultan 19" Crash Cymbal

The Istanbul Agop Sultan 19" Crash Cymbal delivers a dark, warm and complex crash sound with the rich, organic character associated with traditional Turkish cymbal making. Handmade in Turkey, the Sultan Series combines lathed and unlathed sections to create a distinctive balance of warmth, dryness and expressive overtones.

At 19 inches, the Sultan Crash provides a broad, full-bodied response while remaining sensitive and easy to open up. It produces a rich initial attack followed by a warm, textured wash, giving the cymbal plenty of presence without an overly bright or clinical character.

One of the defining features of the Sultan Series is its combination of lathed and raw, unlathed surfaces. This construction helps blend the openness and musical spread of a traditional cymbal with a darker, drier tonal character, resulting in a crash with plenty of depth and personality.

The versatile 19" diameter makes this an excellent choice as a main crash or as part of a larger cymbal setup. Its expressive response works particularly well for jazz, fusion, funk, acoustic, alternative and studio applications where tonal complexity and dynamic control are important.
