Istanbul Agop Sultan 22" Ride Cymbal
The Istanbul Agop Sultan 22" Ride Cymbal delivers a dark, warm and complex ride sound with the organic character of traditional Turkish cymbal making. Handmade in Turkey, the Sultan Series combines lathed and unlathed surfaces to create a distinctive balance of stick definition, controlled dryness and rich musical overtones.
The generous 22" diameter provides a deep, full-bodied voice with a broad tonal spread. Stick definition remains clear and articulate while sitting naturally within a warm, complex wash, giving the cymbal an expressive sound that responds beautifully to changes in playing dynamics.
A defining feature of the Istanbul Agop Sultan Series is its combination of traditionally lathed areas with raw, unlathed sections. This construction blends the openness and warmth of a lathed cymbal with the darker, drier qualities of an unlathed surface, resulting in a ride with plenty of depth and individual character.
Played across the bow, the Sultan Ride offers articulate sticking surrounded by a rich bed of overtones. Moving towards the edge introduces more wash and expression, giving the cymbal useful crash/ride potential for players who like to explore the full surface of their ride.

For players who want an expressive ride capable of moving between defined patterns, textured wash and broader crash accents, the Sultan 22" offers a highly versatile traditional Turkish cymbal voice.
