Istanbul Agop 30th Anniversary 18" Crash Cymbal
The Istanbul Agop 30th Anniversary 18" Crash Cymbal delivers a beautifully dark, warm and complex sound with the organic character associated with traditional Turkish cymbal making. Handmade in Turkey, the 30th Anniversary Series celebrates Istanbul Agop's cymbal-making heritage with an exceptionally expressive response and distinctive aged appearance.
At 18 inches, this crash offers a responsive feel with a rich, full-bodied voice. It opens easily under the stick, producing an expressive attack followed by a warm, complex wash filled with subtle overtones.
The 18" diameter gives the cymbal a slightly quicker and more immediate response than larger crashes in the 30th Anniversary range, making it an excellent choice for players who want plenty of tonal complexity without sacrificing articulation. From delicate accents to stronger crashes, it responds naturally to changes in touch and dynamics.
Its extensive hand hammering and traditional construction contribute to a darker, more nuanced sound than a conventional bright crash. The result is a highly musical cymbal that blends beautifully into the overall sound of the kit while still providing plenty of character.

Why Choose the Istanbul Agop 30th Anniversary 18" Crash?
The Istanbul Agop 30th Anniversary 18" Crash is ideal for drummers looking for a premium, expressive crash with warmth and complexity. Its versatile 18" size offers an excellent balance between quick response and a full-bodied sound, making it equally effective as a main crash or as part of a larger cymbal setup.
For players who prefer organic, characterful cymbals over brighter and more uniform modern sounds, the 30th Anniversary Series offers a distinctly traditional Turkish cymbal voice.
As a traditionally handmade cymbal, individual Istanbul Agop 30th Anniversary cymbals can vary slightly in weight, appearance and tonal character. Want to hear this exact cymbal before ordering? Contact the Into Music team and we'll be happy to provide a sound file where available.
