Istanbul Agop 30th Anniversary Ride Cymbal 20"

Istanbul Agop 30th Anniversary 20" Ride Cymbal

The Istanbul Agop 30th Anniversary 20" Ride Cymbal delivers a beautifully dark, warm and complex voice inspired by the heritage of traditional Turkish cymbal making. Handmade in Turkey, the 30th Anniversary Series is designed for drummers seeking an organic, expressive ride with exceptional dynamic sensitivity and individual character.

At 20 inches, this ride offers an excellent balance of articulation, warmth and responsiveness. Stick definition remains clear within a rich bed of complex overtones, while the cymbal's darker tonal character creates a warm, musical wash around each note.

Its responsive construction allows the cymbal to react naturally to different playing dynamics. Played lightly, it provides delicate definition and subtle texture; increase the intensity and the cymbal develops a broader, more expressive wash. Moving towards the edge also allows it to open up for expressive accents and crash/ride-style playing.

Compared with larger rides, the 20" diameter provides a slightly more focused and immediate response, making it a versatile choice for players who want the complexity of a traditional Turkish ride without an overly large cymbal.

Extensive hand hammering, traditional construction and the distinctive aged appearance give each 30th Anniversary cymbal an individual visual and sonic character.
