Istanbul Agop 30th Anniversary 24" Ride Cymbal
The Istanbul Agop 30th Anniversary 24" Ride Cymbal delivers a huge, dark and beautifully complex voice with the organic character associated with traditional Turkish cymbal making. Handmade in Turkey, this impressive 24" ride combines exceptional tonal depth with the expressive, handcrafted response that defines the 30th Anniversary Series.
Its substantial 24" diameter produces a deep, broad tonal spread with a rich bed of complex overtones. Stick definition sits naturally within the cymbal's wash rather than feeling overly separated, creating an organic ride sound with warmth, depth and plenty of character.
Despite its size, the 30th Anniversary Ride remains highly responsive to changes in touch and dynamics. Played lightly, it produces subtle articulation and a warm underlying wash. As the intensity increases, the cymbal develops into a much broader and more powerful sound.
The large diameter and expressive construction also give this ride excellent crash/ride potential. Playing towards the edge allows the cymbal to open into a huge, dark crash, making it an incredibly expressive choice for drummers who use their ride as an integral part of the overall musical texture.
Extensive hand hammering, traditional construction and the distinctive aged appearance ensure each 30th Anniversary cymbal has its own individual visual and sonic character.
