Istanbul Agop Xist Dry Dark 13" Crash Cymbal
The Istanbul Agop Xist Dry Dark 13" Crash Cymbal delivers a fast, dark and highly responsive crash sound with the distinctive dry, complex character of the Xist Dry Dark Series. Its compact 13" diameter produces an immediate attack and quick decay, making it an excellent choice for short accents and creative cymbal setups.
Unlike a conventional bright crash, the Xist Dry Dark 13" has a darker, earthier voice with plenty of textured overtones. It opens quickly with minimal effort before disappearing from the mix just as fast, giving drummers a precise accent without excessive sustain or wash.
The smaller 13" diameter makes this cymbal particularly useful as an auxiliary or effects crash. It can add another tonal colour alongside larger crashes or provide quick punctuation within intricate grooves and fills.
Featuring the distinctive raw, heavily hammered appearance of the Xist Dry Dark Series, this compact crash combines traditional Turkish cymbal-making techniques with a contemporary, characterful sound.

Why Choose the Istanbul Agop Xist Dry Dark 13" Crash?
The Xist Dry Dark 13" Crash is ideal for drummers looking for a small crash with a quick response and plenty of personality. Its compact size allows it to open instantly, while its dry, dark character provides a distinctive contrast to larger and more traditional crash cymbals.
It's a particularly useful addition to expanded cymbal setups where a short, controlled crash sound is needed for accents, fills and creative effects.
Due to the traditional cymbal-making process, individual Istanbul Agop cymbals can have their own unique tonal character. Want to hear this exact cymbal before ordering? Contact the Into Music team and we'll be happy to provide a sound file where available.
