Istanbul Agop Xist Dry Dark 17" Crash Cymbal
The Istanbul Agop Xist Dry Dark 17" Crash Cymbal delivers a quick, dark and complex crash sound with the distinctive dry character of the Xist Dry Dark Series. Its compact 17" diameter provides a fast response and controlled decay, making it an excellent choice for drummers looking for an expressive crash that gets in and out of the mix quickly.
The Xist Dry Dark 17" produces an earthy, textured attack with complex overtones and a relatively controlled wash. Its dry character helps prevent excessive sustain, while the smaller diameter gives the cymbal plenty of immediacy and definition across a range of playing dynamics.
This makes it particularly useful as a fast main crash, secondary crash or contrasting accent cymbal, pairing especially well with larger crashes from the Xist Dry Dark range.
With its distinctive raw appearance and heavily hammered surface, the Xist Dry Dark Series combines traditional Turkish cymbal-making techniques with a contemporary sound designed for modern drummers.

Why Choose the Istanbul Agop Xist Dry Dark 17" Crash?
The Xist Dry Dark 17" Crash is an excellent choice for drummers who want a quick and expressive crash without excessive brightness or sustain. Its smaller 17" diameter responds easily and decays quickly, while the dark, complex tonal character gives it considerably more personality than a conventional bright crash.
Due to the traditional cymbal-making process, individual Istanbul Agop cymbals can have their own unique tonal character. Want to hear this exact cymbal before ordering? Contact the Into Music team and we'll be happy to provide a sound file where available.
