Istanbul Agop Xist Dry Dark 22" Crash Cymbal
The Istanbul Agop Xist Dry Dark 22" Crash Cymbal delivers a huge, dark and complex crash sound with the dry, controlled character that defines the Xist Dry Dark Series. With its oversized 22" diameter, this cymbal produces a broad, full-bodied response with plenty of depth, texture and presence.
The larger 22" size gives the cymbal a deep, lower-pitched voice with a wide spread. It opens into a powerful crash while its naturally dry character helps control the sustain, resulting in a sound that feels big and expressive without creating excessive wash.
Its size also makes the Xist Dry Dark 22" particularly versatile. Alongside its role as a powerful main crash, it offers excellent crash/ride potential, allowing players to explore different sounds across the edge, bow and bell.
The dark, earthy overtones and controlled response make this cymbal particularly well suited to rock, alternative, indie and contemporary music, as well as studio applications where a more distinctive and textured cymbal sound is required.
Featuring the unmistakable raw, heavily hammered appearance of the Xist Dry Dark Series, this cymbal combines traditional Turkish cymbal-making techniques with a modern, characterful voice.

Why Choose the Istanbul Agop Xist Dry Dark 22" Crash?
The Xist Dry Dark 22" Crash is ideal for drummers who want the depth and power of an oversized crash without an excessively bright or sustained response. Its combination of a broad 22" voice, dry tonal character and complex overtones makes it equally effective as a powerful main crash or a versatile crash/ride.
Due to the traditional cymbal-making process, individual Istanbul Agop cymbals can have their own unique tonal character. Want to hear this exact cymbal before ordering? Contact the Into Music team and we'll be happy to provide a sound file where available.
