Istanbul Agop Xist Dry Dark 22" Ride Cymbal
The Istanbul Agop Xist Dry Dark 22" Ride Cymbal delivers a dark, dry and complex ride sound with plenty of definition and character. Designed for drummers who prefer an earthy, controlled voice over the bright and highly polished sound of a traditional ride, this 22" model offers an expressive combination of stick articulation, textured wash and rich overtones.
Its 22" diameter provides a broad, full-bodied response with a deep tonal character. Playing across the bow produces clear stick definition surrounded by a dark, complex wash, while moving towards the edge introduces more texture and spread.
The naturally dry character helps keep the sustain controlled, allowing individual notes and patterns to remain articulate even during more involved ride playing. The larger size also gives the cymbal plenty of versatility, with enough response at the edge for expressive accents and crash/ride-style playing.
Featuring the distinctive raw, heavily hammered appearance of the Xist Dry Dark Series, this ride combines traditional Turkish cymbal-making techniques with a contemporary sound designed for drummers seeking something individual and characterful.

Why Choose the Istanbul Agop Xist Dry Dark 22" Ride?
The Xist Dry Dark 22" Ride is an excellent choice for drummers looking for a ride with plenty of definition but without an excessively bright or sustained sound. Its dark tonal character, controlled wash and complex overtones make it particularly effective for players who want their ride cymbal to provide both articulation and texture.
The generous 22" diameter also gives the cymbal plenty of versatility, making it suitable for traditional ride patterns as well as more expressive crash/ride-style playing.
Due to the traditional cymbal-making process, individual Istanbul Agop cymbals can have their own unique tonal character. Want to hear this exact cymbal before ordering? Contact the Into Music team and we'll be happy to provide a sound file where available.
