Mapex Armory Drum Kit Shell Pack 6pc 22" Rock - Blue Wave Burst

Mapex Armory 6pc 22" Rock Drum Kit Shell Pack – Blue Wave Burst

The Mapex Armory 6pc 22" Rock Drum Kit Shell Pack in Blue Wave Burst combines the versatile sound of maple/birch hybrid shells with an expanded six-piece configuration, professional Mapex features and a stunning premium finish.

Designed for drummers who want a larger setup with plenty of tonal range, the Armory 6pc Rock configuration combines two rack toms, two floor toms and a powerful 22" bass drum, complete with the Armory Tomahawk steel snare. The result is a highly capable setup for rock, pop, metal, alternative, progressive music and a wide variety of contemporary styles.

At the heart of the kit are Mapex's renowned maple/birch hybrid shells, combining the warmth and body of maple with the punch, attack and projection of birch.

Expanded 6-Piece Configuration

The Mapex Armory 6pc Rock shell pack features:

• 22" Bass Drum

• 10" Rack Tom

• 12" Rack Tom

• 14" Floor Tom

• 16" Floor Tom

• 14" x 5.5" Armory Tomahawk Snare Drum

The combination of 10" and 12" rack toms with 14" and 16" floor toms creates an excellent tonal progression across the kit.

The smaller toms provide punch and articulation, while the two floor toms add substantial depth and low-end power. Anchoring the setup is a 22" bass drum, delivering the projection and presence expected from a full-size rock configuration.

Maple/Birch Hybrid Shells

The distinctive sound of the Mapex Armory Series comes from its maple/birch hybrid shell construction.

Maple contributes warmth, body and a rounded fundamental tone, while birch provides additional attack, focus and projection. Together, the two tonewoods produce a versatile sound with plenty of power for live performance while retaining the detail and musicality required for recording.

Across this expanded six-piece setup, the hybrid shell construction provides a consistent tonal character from the smaller rack toms through to the deeper floor toms and bass drum.

SONIClear Bearing Edges

Mapex SONIClear bearing edges are designed to optimise contact between the drumhead and shell, helping the heads seat correctly and allowing the drums to tune easily.

This contributes to a strong fundamental note, excellent resonance and a broad usable tuning range. Tune the Armory low for deep, powerful contemporary sounds or take it higher for greater articulation and definition.

SONIClear Suspension System

The SONIClear suspension system securely supports the rack toms while allowing the shells to resonate naturally.

By minimising unnecessary restriction of the shell, the system helps maximise sustain and tonal depth while providing the positioning flexibility required for a comfortable multi-tom setup.

Armory Tomahawk Snare Drum

Completing the six-piece configuration is the 14" x 5.5" Mapex Armory Tomahawk steel snare drum.

Its steel shell provides a crisp, articulate response with plenty of attack and projection, creating an excellent contrast to the warmer maple/birch shells of the toms and bass drum.

The result is a complete shell pack with a versatile snare voice capable of cutting confidently through a full band mix.

Blue Wave Burst Finish

The Blue Wave Burst finish gives this Mapex Armory an eye-catching contemporary appearance.

Rich blue tones combine with graduated burst detailing to create impressive depth across the shells. On a larger six-piece configuration, the finish has even greater visual impact, making this a particularly striking kit under stage lighting.
