Mapex Armory Maple/Birch Drum Kit Shell Pack Red Onyx Burst

Mapex Armory Maple/Birch Drum Kit Shell Pack – Red Onyx Burst

The Mapex Armory Maple/Birch Drum Kit Shell Pack in Red Onyx Burst combines versatile hybrid shells, professional Mapex features and a striking premium finish to create a powerful acoustic drum kit built for live performance, recording and serious everyday playing.

At the heart of the Mapex Armory Series is its maple/birch hybrid shell construction, combining the warmth and body of maple with the attack, projection and definition associated with birch. The result is a balanced, versatile drum sound capable of covering everything from rock and pop through to funk, alternative, metal and contemporary session work.

Finished in stunning Red Onyx Burst, the Armory delivers plenty of visual impact alongside its impressive sonic performance.

Maple/Birch Hybrid Shells

The defining sound of the Mapex Armory comes from its hybrid shell formula.

Maple contributes warmth, body and a rounded fundamental tone, while birch provides additional attack and focus. Together, the two tonewoods create a powerful sound with excellent definition and enough warmth to remain musical across a broad range of tunings.

This versatile shell construction makes the Armory equally suited to powerful live performances and detailed studio recording.

SONIClear Bearing Edges

Mapex SONIClear bearing edges are designed to optimise contact between the drumhead and shell, helping the heads seat correctly and encouraging consistent tuning.

The result is a strong fundamental note, excellent resonance and a broad usable tuning range. Whether you prefer deep, powerful tom sounds or a tighter and more articulate response, the Armory can be easily adapted to suit your playing style.

SONIClear Suspension System

The SONIClear suspension system securely supports the rack toms while allowing the shells to resonate naturally.

By reducing unnecessary restriction of the shell, the mounting system helps maximise sustain and tonal depth while providing the positioning flexibility required for a comfortable professional setup.

Includes Armory Tomahawk Snare Drum

Armory shell pack configurations are complemented by the Mapex Armory Tomahawk steel snare drum, adding a crisp, powerful and articulate snare voice to the setup.

Its steel shell provides plenty of attack and projection, making it an excellent partner for the warmth and punch of the maple/birch toms and bass drum.

Red Onyx Burst Finish

The Red Onyx Burst finish gives the Mapex Armory a bold yet sophisticated appearance.

Its deep red colouring and graduated burst effect create a premium aesthetic with plenty of visual depth, making the kit particularly impressive under stage lighting while remaining equally at home in a professional studio or home setup.
