The Meinl Byzance Vintage Trash China 22" is a large-format effects china built for drummers who want a dark, trashy, fast-responding accent cymbal with genuine tonal depth. At 22" in Thin weight, it's one of the most distinctive and musically sophisticated trash chinas available — a cymbal that adds explosive, earthy character without overwhelming the mix.
Crafted from B20 bronze with deep hand hammering and a sandblasted finish, the Vintage Trash China delivers a dark, dry, naturally aged tone. The sandblasted surface softens harsh attack and adds an earthy, organic quality, while precision cut-outs reduce sustain further and open the cymbal for fast, explosive accents. Raw centre hammering, narrow blade lathed edges, and a fully lathed underside deliver controlled wash with a smooth stick feel — a combination that makes this cymbal as versatile as it is distinctive.
