The MEINL HCS Dark 16 inch Crash Cymbal delivers a punchy accent that fades quickly, leaving space for the next beat. Made in Germany from specially treated MS63 brass, it combines a focused response with a mid-dark tonal character and a distinctive dark finish. A practical choice for drummers who want clear crash punctuation rather than a lingering cymbal wash.
Punchy crashes that keep the groove clear
Mark the start of a chorus, land the final hit of a tom fill or add emphasis to a backbeat. The HCS Dark crash's short sustain lets those accents speak without hanging over the following phrase. Its controlled response suits rock and pop playing, while the 16-inch size offers a useful crash voice on its own or alongside other HCS crash sizes.
- 16-inch crash size for punchy accents and musical transitions.
- Fast-decaying sustain leaves room for the next drum or cymbal hit.
- Specially treated MS63 brass provides the HCS Dark series' focused response.
- Mid-dark timbre offers an alternative to brighter cymbal sounds.
- Medium weight and medium-to-low volume support a controlled cymbal voice.
- Dark finish adds a distinctive visual contrast to your kit.
- German-made construction with MEINL Pressure Point Technology shaping.
