The MEINL HCS Dark 18 inch Crash Cymbal brings punchy accents and a fast-decaying response to your drum kit. Made in Germany from specially treated MS63 brass, it combines short sustain with a focused, mid-dark voice and a distinctive dark finish. It is a useful option for drummers who want an 18-inch crash without a lingering wash dominating the next phrase.
Make the accent, then leave space
Land a chorus entrance, punctuate a stop or finish a tom fill with a clearly defined crash. The HCS Dark's quick decay helps the accent settle back into the groove, rather than hanging over subsequent hits. Designed with rock and pop in mind, this medium-weight model can serve as your main crash or sit alongside another HCS crash size for contrasting accents.
- 18-inch crash cymbal for marking transitions and emphasising key hits.
- Short sustain keeps accents controlled and leaves room for the next phrase.
- Specially treated MS63 brass provides the HCS Dark series' focused response.
- Mid-dark timbre offers an alternative to brighter cymbal sounds.
- Medium weight and medium-to-low volume support a defined cymbal voice.
- Dark finish gives your setup a distinctive visual character.
- German-made construction with MEINL Pressure Point Technology shaping.
