The Meinl Pure Alloy 18" Extra Hammered Crash Cymbal (PA18EHC) combines high-tech machine-made hammering with a fully lathed surface and traditional craftsmanship. This 18-inch medium-thin crash covers a wide range of dynamics, delivering the style and response of classical cymbals with a modern, punchy edge.
Extra Hammered Character
The Pure Alloy Extra Hammered crashes feature extensive hammering throughout the entire cymbal surface. They open up with a punchy warmth that is quickly followed by a complex roar in the wash, tapering off for a fast decay. The result is a crash cymbal that speaks immediately, fills the frequency spectrum with musical complexity, and gets out of the way quicklyâperfect for busy musical environments.
