The Sonor AQ2 Series Shell Pack builds on the foundation set by the AQ1 and offers prospective players the chance to craft their own, unique setup with a high-quality maple shell whilst choosing from a range of distinctive sizes & finishes. The 7-ply (7.2mm ply) Canadian & Asian Maple Shell construction is allowed to sing by the new & unobtrusive ‘SmartMount’ that Sonor designed for the AQ series. This is complemented by the 45° bearing edge which minimises contact between the head & drum, bringing a modern & versatile sound to the shells.
A classic standard size, the AQ2 Bop shell pack makes an excellent choice for any players looking to play an authentic small shell kit on a relative budget. The 18 x 14” maple bass drum speaks volumes compared to its size, giving the shell pack a deep edge whilst maintaining portability. The extra funky cymbal & tom combo mount harks back to Sonor's long history of quality design & engineering.
