The SONOR Artist Series 14" x 6" Maple Snare Drum combines a premium 9-ply, 6mm Medium Maple shell with a distinctive Cottonwood outer veneer, die-cast hoops and SONOR's professional Dual Glide snare strainer.
Designed as a versatile all-round snare, the Cottonwood Artist Series delivers the warmth and fullness associated with maple while retaining a clear attack and sensitive snare response. Its classic 14" x 6" dimensions make it an excellent premium main snare for everything from studio sessions to live performance.
The natural figuring of the Cottonwood veneer is presented in a Semi-Gloss finish and paired with chrome hardware for an understated premium appearance.
9-Ply Medium Maple Shell
At the heart of the drum is a 9-ply, 6mm Medium Maple shell with 45° bearing edges.
SONOR manufactures the shell using its CLTF (Cross Laminated Tension Free) process alongside Optimum Shell Measurement (OSM), techniques developed to create accurately formed and stable drum shells.
