Developed in collaboration with Benny Greb, the SONOR Benny Greb Signature V2.0 Brass Snare combines compact 13" x 5.75" dimensions with a 1.2mm brass shell, innovative internal dampening and SONOR's premium Signature Series hardware.
Finished in distinctive Aged Brass, the shell features a laser-etched centre stripe inspired by the decorative Bubinga inlay found on Benny's Beech Signature model. The combination of a brass shell, 45° bearing edges and 2.3mm Power Hoops delivers a sensitive and powerful response with the warmth, roundness and controlled overtones that Benny wanted from his signature metal snare.
1.2mm Aged Brass Shell
The 1.2mm brass shell uses the same 13" x 5.75" dimensions as Benny's original wood-shell Signature snare.
SONOR describes the brass version as having the warmth and roundness associated with brass, with plenty of bottom end and snare sensitivity. The Aged Brass finish and laser-etched stripe give the drum a distinctive vintage-inspired appearance.
Dual MonoRail Dampening System
Two internal MonoRail dampeners allow you to quickly change the amount and character of damping without adding anything to the outside of the drum.
One is fitted with Benny's “The Felt” pad and the other with “The Sheep”. Each moves vertically on its own rail, keeping the dampeners away from the main playing area while providing quick and repeatable adjustment.
The pads are interchangeable, giving you even more control over the drum's response.
Teardrop Lugs & Dual Glide
Vintage-inspired SONOR Teardrop lugs with TuneSafe provide tuning stability while complementing the Aged Brass finish.
The drum is completed with SONOR's Dual Glide snare strainer and 2.3mm steel Power Hoops for smooth snare adjustment and a solid playing feel.
