The SONOR Kompressor 13" x 7" Beech Snare Drum combines a compact 13" diameter with a deep 7" shell, giving you a focused and articulate wood snare with plenty of body, projection and dynamic response.
At its heart is a substantial 12-ply, 8mm Heavy Beech shell, made in Germany using SONOR's proprietary Cross-Laminated Tension Free (CLTF) manufacturing process. The Natural Beech Semi-Gloss finish showcases the shell's grain, while chrome hardware gives the drum a clean, classic SONOR look.
The 13x7 dimensions make this an interesting alternative to a conventional 14" main snare – slightly more compact in diameter but with the additional depth to deliver plenty of presence.
Heavy Beech Shell – Made in Germany
SONOR has a long association with beech drum shells, and the Kompressor uses a 12-ply, 8mm Heavy Beech construction with 45° bearing edges.
SONOR's Optimum Shell Measurement (OSM) uses a slightly undersized shell diameter to improve contact between the drumhead and bearing edge across different tunings.

The 13x7 Kompressor is fitted with 2.3mm steel Power Hoops and SONOR double lugs featuring the TuneSafe system, designed to help prevent tension rods from loosening during playing.
