The SONOR Kompressor 14" x 8" Aluminium Snare Drum combines a substantial 8" depth with a 2mm aluminium shell, creating a powerful and responsive snare with plenty of body, projection and dynamic range.
Its deep 14" x 8" dimensions make this one of the biggest snares in the Kompressor range, while the aluminium construction keeps the response articulate and controlled. SONOR completes the drum with 2.3mm Power Hoops, 20 TuneSafe single lugs and Remo USA heads, giving you a professional setup straight out of the box.
2mm Aluminium Shell
The Kompressor uses a 2mm aluminium shell with 45° bearing edges. Combined with the deep 8" shell, this gives the drum plenty of presence while retaining the responsive character that makes aluminium such a popular snare drum material.
SONOR's Optimum Shell Measurement (OSM) slightly reduces the shell diameter, allowing the drumheads to vibrate more freely across different tunings.
TuneSafe Lugs & Power Hoops
Unlike some of the shallower Kompressor models, the 14x8 is fitted with 20 SONOR single lugs, giving you 10 tuning points per head.
SONOR's TuneSafe system helps prevent tension rods from loosening during playing, while the 2.3mm steel Power Hoops provide a solid and controlled playing feel.
