The SONOR PTK Protean Drum Tuning Key was developed in collaboration with Gavin Harrison to make drum tuning and head changes faster and more convenient.
Designed for standard square-head tension rods, the Protean key features a Speed-Tune design that allows quicker adjustment of tension rods than a conventional drum key. Its distinctive upper section can also be used to help bring tension rods up to finger-tight tension before fine tuning.
Originally developed as part of Gavin Harrison's SONOR Protean Signature Snare project, it's a clever upgrade to one of the most essential tools in any drummer's kit bag.
