Inspired by SONOR drums from the 1950s, 60s and 70s, the Vintage Series brings together updated Teardrop lugs, Superprofil hoops, TuneSafe tuning stability and the distinctive Super 50 snare throw-off. The result is a versatile German-made beech snare with unmistakably vintage styling and character.
The shell is finished in SONOR's Vintage Black Slate Delmar wrap, complemented by chrome hardware and the original-style SONOR Script badge.
9-Ply German Beech Shell
At the heart of the drum is a 9-ply, 6mm Medium Beech shell, manufactured using SONOR's CLTF (Cross Laminated Tension Free) process and Optimum Shell Measurement.
Unlike the 45° bearing edges found on many modern snares, the Vintage Series uses fully rounded bearing edges, helping give these drums their distinctive vintage-inspired response and character.
