The SONOR Vintage 14" x 6.5" Snare Drum in California Blue combines classic SONOR styling and construction with the reliability expected from a modern German-made snare.
Inspired by SONOR drums of the 1950s, 60s and 70s, the Vintage Series is built around a 9-ply, 6mm German Beech shell with fully rounded bearing edges. Combined with its deeper 6.5" shell, this makes it a distinctive alternative to more modern sharp-edged snare designs.
Finished in striking California Blue, the drum features SONOR's vintage-inspired Teardrop lugs, Superprofil hoops and Super 50 snare throw-off.
9-Ply German Beech Shell
At the heart of the drum is a 9-ply, 6mm Medium Beech shell, manufactured in Germany using SONOR's CLTF (Cross Laminated Tension Free) process and Optimum Shell Measurement.
Rather than the sharper 45° bearing edges found on many modern snare drums, the Vintage Series uses fully rounded bearing edges inspired by classic SONOR drums.
