We're seriously excited to be hosting Will Daly's Drum Camp at Into Music on 10th–11th October — a two-day experience for intermediate drummers who want to challenge themselves, get more creative behind the kit and take their playing further.

This isn't about simply learning a load of new exercises and going home. Across the weekend, Will will help you explore new drumming vocabulary, techniques and concepts, while showing you how to use the skills you already have in more musical and creative ways.

What to expect

The camp is built around your playing and your goals.

Once you book, you'll complete a questionnaire with Will — think of it as a drumming MOT! Your answers will help shape the two-day curriculum, giving the group a shared area of focus while still making sure the sessions are relevant to where you are in your own drumming journey.

Will will also create a bespoke book syllabus for the camp, which every student will receive. You'll work through it together across the two days, and it'll give you plenty to take away and work on independently over the next 6–12 months.

With just 8 spaces available in total, the camp will be a supportive, hands-on environment where you can learn alongside other drummers, share experiences, try new things and, most importantly, have a lot of fun doing it.

Who is it for?

This camp is aimed at intermediate drummers who have been playing for a while and are ready to push themselves further.

We'd recommend having a good understanding of:

• A range of drum beats and fills
• Rudiments
• Playing songs
• Solid timing
• Some experience of playing in front of others

Suggested grade level: 4–6

Don't worry if you don't take graded exams — this is simply a guide to the kind of playing level the camp is aimed at. You don't need to have any formal drumming grades to attend.

If you're looking for a fun, challenging and supportive weekend that could genuinely change the way you approach the drum kit, this one is for you.

Please note this camp is suitable for ages 14+.

And because we're hosting it at Into Music...

The Into Music team will be around throughout the weekend too.

We're not going to try and sell you anything — but one of the perks of hosting a drum camp in a music shop is that you'll have the chance to try as much gear as you like! Kits, snares, cymbals, sticks, accessories… if you fancy trying something out, go for it.

The shop will be open to the public on Saturday, but the bottom showroom where the camp is taking place will remain private for the students.

Food & refreshments

We'll keep you fuelled throughout the weekend with tea, coffee, water and snacks included.

Please bring your own lunch on Saturday — there will be a 1-hour lunch break giving you enough time to head into Horncastle. On Sunday, we'll be looking at heading out somewhere locally for a roast if you'd like to join us (at your own cost).
