The DTX10K-X features the PCY175 17" 3-zone ride cymbal pad with positional sensing — the largest cymbal pad Yamaha has ever produced, and close to the size of an actual ride cymbal. Combined with positional sensing across the bow and full 3-zone triggering (bow, edge, bell), the PCY175 delivers the most realistic ride cymbal experience available in any electronic kit. All cymbal pads can be choked, just like a real cymbal.
KP128 Kick Pad — 12" Mesh Head
Unlike the KP90 kick pad found in the DTX8 range, the DTX10K-X features the KP128 — a 12" mesh head kick pad with a multi-layer cushion head surface. This gives the bass drum a more realistic feel and response, closer to playing an acoustic bass drum with a real head.
