The Mr. Muff MuffBites are a premium drum muffling solution that takes a more targeted approach than a full-head cloth or ring damper. Each MuffBite covers approximately a third of the drum head enough to reduce overtones, minimise sustain, and deliver a more precise, drier sound with real bite, while preserving the natural character and resonance of the drum rather than killing it entirely.
The construction is genuinely considered: a black felt rim combined with vintage corduroy fabric gives the MuffBites a distinctive aesthetic alongside their functional purpose. The magnetic RimMount system is the standout feature it holds each MuffBite securely in position on a steel hoop without any tools or tape, and crucially, also allows them to be positioned on the resonance side of the drum for a different damping character.
